Default Starter solenoid push button
Hi,
I has a very stiff, hard to push starter solenoid button (popular vtwin/midusa button cover). What cause it? How can i make it softer easier to press like replace spring or something?

First thought would be to take it off.
See if things are corroded up or bone dry.
Clean it and lube it.

Don't try to make it too easy to push. The last thing you want is for it to make contact accidentally.

Just make sure the electrical components and connections in the starter circuit are clean and in good working condition and you won`t need the button.

One of the main issues why the button would be hard to push is that the jackshaft is binding.. Remember that the button also pushes the pinion gear out into the ring gear on the clutch..

That one just pushes the plunger in so the big washer makes the power contacts, just bypasses the button circuit.

It's either dirty and binding or the OP has white collar fingers, they did take a little push to work right.
