Shifter rod........😡🤬😣😩
Fixing to replace my shift linkage with heim joints ( 95 Dyna Convertible).
Why in the world did the factory thread one end of rod with right hand threads, and the other end with left hand threads?
Evidently, the previous owner didn't realize this and stripped the threads on left handed thread end.
I'm gonna get a piece of 5/16" round stock and make my own shift rod.
Nothing's ever easy!!!!!!

Left and right threads are so you don't have to remove it to adjust it. Thats how, I want to say all but can't, most are built.

Great work friend, mine won't be nearly as pretty. But.........I have thought of using brass rod for something different.

Why did you keep the OEM style ball joints instead of switching to heim joints...?
