I made this one out of Stainless Steel. Sourced the Heim joints and set screws from McMaster-Carr.
I have plans to make more out of various other materials with various designs.

This was between San Luis Obispo and Bakersfield this past summer:

And a more permanent fix later for the splines having stripped after the ball joint broke. I call it Parking Lot Twister.

They work very well and they're cheap. I was stranded once when a factory ball type failed on me. Had to jockey shift it to the dealer. Discovered these heims about 6 or 7 years ago and every bike I've owned since then has had this upgrade. Probably one of the best bang for the buck upgrades in my opinion.

The guy in the flip flops is a Moderator on this forum......

and he can throw down some miles.

This is the custom linkage on my build Ultra, yes, with heim joints....
