I think this maybe have been staged. I would think this is a little too embarrassing for more guys?
What wasn't revealed about that repair was the ingenious use of a beer can. Cut into small strips and fitted onto the spline, it created a perfect compression seal.
There were 2 repairs. The linkage and zip tie, the next day the shifter arm spline repair.
Linkage replacement in the parking lot at Bakersfield ,CA HD. They played Twister in the hotel parking lot in Nevada for the spline/shifter arm.
