Engine/Security light flicker
I was out riding today and after about an hour or so I noticed my security light came on, and the amber engine graphic flickered a couple times, then they both went out. I pulled over a couple minutes later and checked for codes, both on the speedo, and also on my PV. No codes.

Any ideas?

Yeah suppose so. It’s funny I was just being lectured by someone last night that batteries only last 2 years in Florida heat. I didn’t believe it. Maybe it’s true, mine is about 3…
Check your FOB battery. A low voltage bike battery would set a code I believe.
Bike battery should be OK running unless the actual connection was loose or corroded.
If that was the case, you would get that grunt, hesitation or starter bang from kickback that's a sure sign of bad connections or worn-out battery when starting. In Florida or Boston.
Especially in Florida, don't keep it on the maintenance charger all the time. Just when it sits for weeks. That way, the last start you get at home will not hopefully be the last.

Edit: oh, you’re suggesting a low volt fob might cause it. Ok, will do

Right, but no codes. All I saw as said was the security light (red dot) light up for a few seconds, and while it was lit the yellow engine icon flickered a couple times before they both went dark. No codes present.

Added a couple more points about what is what on battery and thoughts above.
Sorry.
