Default Which pads

Going to buy new pads for my 2001 FXDWG which ones should I get. I want something with good cold braking too. Cause some pads are useless till they warm up. Bike has original disks so can I use sintered pads, or will they just eat the disks?

Thanks
Abs

I switched to the Lyndall Z pads, rear and dual front, the difference is unreal.

The choices that you offer, are few to choose between. I would look at the EBC Kevlar pads or the Lyndall Z pads. I have heard good reports on both. The sintered pads will have more break dust and are tougher on the rotors than the other two. If you are still using the oem pads (I believe that they are sintered iron) you will find much improved brake performance with the EBC Kevlar or the Lyndall Z pads.

I would love to see more responses to this. I have just installed spoke wheels and would like to minimize the brake dust. I am hoping to see some references to such a pad.

The reason is for no votes is the only pad in my opinion is Lyndalls. I have EBC organic on my rear but will take them off once my rear Lyndalls get here. I use them and tested them out in my own comparison test. Let me see, they do not hurt the rotors (so I do not have to buy new rotors), they stop in the case of a Fl 30% less distance, no dust to corrode the caliper pistons or in the case of white walls (which I do not have), no noise, and in the case of a FL, they get 18K-20K miles out of the rear. I guess I buy the brake pads for these reasons.

The reason for the 2 company choices is, they are what I can find in the UK.

Did you contact them?
I don't see why they wouldn't ship to the UK.
Worth asking...
