Throttle cable broke

Broken throttle cable? Just raise the idle speed and ride to a repair shop. No big deal.

If the cables on the bike have been neglected that it's almost certain you're running very old brake fluid. Get the system flushed and filled with fresh fluid.

For emergency repair in order to complete a trip.
If cable is broken during a trip then a switch around of push and pull cables works.
If you have no safety return cable and
if you wear vest pins...then
Alternative is to use the secure screw on pin back as a tip.
Those pin backs are sold at most biker events..
Basically clip the tip of cable and slide on the pin back and then secure the little pin back.
The little secure pin back becomes cable end and forcibly fits in the throttle tube cable position when inserted sideways.
This rescue only works if you or your friends carry some tools and have some mechanical skills.
