I did them myself also on my Low Rider. The kit is $299.99 before any types of discounts you may receive. The most difficult part of putting these on is changing the linkage from the shorter to the longer linkage. It is tight behind the primary.

As you will learn, the '06 is a different animal. It is a bit more involved than previous years and I've heard people report it took the dealers anywhere bewteen 2 and 4 hours to do it. And if you are looking on EBay for the controls, the '06s take a different kit than the 95-05s (though the descriptions will sometimes say '95 and up)

I was gonna start bad mouthing your dealer for the 2.5 hrs labor but then I realized its an 06. I installed mine in an hour for the first time and they ran me $300. I really think its ten times more comfortable with the forwards although I wish I kept my mids on for a second option on long rides I'll have to find a set that matches the forwards. O ya im 6'1" and even with just mids I didnt feel cramped.
