Ive been through two of them. The current one is under warranty, but I just dont care, over it. On one side of heir marketing mouth they say all these grandiose things like Its 680 cca powerful, while through their other side of their mouth, but dont use it on big motors that need that power. What?
So the ATX-20 680 cca battery, according to them on the phone, should only be used when its not needed like in a stock anemic powered engine.. so why bother having all that cranking power if in the fine print they say only use it in stock motors? Stupid then they highly recommended their discontinued YTX-20 saying thats the one I wanted. I pointed out they discontinued it to their tech support while they looked my statement up to discover I was correct. When I bought the ATX-20 they recommended it so Id have protection and bragged about its power to turn my 127 over.. only later to back pedal saying I should go with the discontinued battery that has no protection. You know, the ones that catch on fire and burn your bike to the ground
Nope the warranty is useless because they dont have a battery I want. 6 months cost me $300.00
I completely understand. AGM will be what I use now and going forward. I'm fortunate that I use the larger (30) series battery and can get a 500cca AGM battery. I've only seen one AGM battery in the (20) series that has a high cca rate. I'm not sure how they can do that with the smaller case, but apparently they do. I have no knowledge about these however. The low price makes me wonder how well it's made.

No, that's why I said I have no knowledge about these however.
Both of my bikes are TC baggers.
Here is the thing.. IMO a 30 series AGM battery is fine, even for bigger motors.. A 20 series AGM is fine for dyna and softails with smaller motors. You want a bigger motor say 116 or above that needs a 20 series, go with LI. I've had good luck with Shorai and Twin Power in 20 series with a 116 and 131. The battery you show is likely a Deka. The easy way to tell is that they need a spacer if you want to run the terminal downward.
