Classy bike, with the black of the fender I think it looks better without the chrome covers even if they weren't botched up!
Those rear turns are heinous with the wire wrapped up a'la Grapes of Wrath, you'll show 'em who's boss
thanksThe frame is exposed all over the bike, so why not the struts, right?
Turn sigs are Harleys design, I looked up their instructions. Theyll get sorted out eventually. The license plate kits are cheap.
Just installed the 2” extended MIDS (further forward controls). I like em. Harley OEM seemed to be out of stock everywhere. They were about $400 anyway. V-twin brand and bikers choice were available. V-twin had some bad reviews. The complaint being the brake pedal was too far inboard. Couldn’t find anything on bikers choice but took a chance at $279.99. They’re perfect. Absolutely no complaints.
The extra 2” makes a big difference in comfort for me.
I ended up putting forwards on mine ('09 FXDC). Absolutely love them. I would just keep the mid pegs on for longer trips, which aren't necessary now with the Ultra in the garage.
That said, I have a '21 Road King I've been looking into forwards for. Not a popular choice but it's very interesting to me...
Got er jacked up. 1.5” in the front and 13” out back.
I ended up going with drag specialties standard duty13” adjustable shocks and progressive drop ins with 15w fork oil and 1.5” fork tube extensions. About $600 for the whole job. Ride and comfort is much better now.
