Has anyone installed a permanent jumper connection to their battery for easy access in case your ride needs to be jumped due to dead battery. On long rides I always carry a NOCO battery booster but never had to use it until the other day. I then realized I could not get to the battery terminals easily to use it. It would be alot easier if there was a remote jump connection like newer cars have to make it easier to use a jumper.
Well, not a permanent jumper connection, but a permanent battery tender connector.
So OP why not; what are your concerns?
I'd vote this would be a great mod.
A good jumper cable would be a heavy gauge cable with a bulky end.
It would be hard to conceal and look like ****. JMO
It's not that hard to remove my seat, a little more difficult for those with the side battery box.
Can you access the positive cable on top of the starter on a dyna? I know on my road king there's a ton of room there. Just use that post for the positive cable and anything metal connected to the frame will act as a ground.
I can access the positive terminal, in fact that is what I did to jump my bike, but the problem is removing parts to gain access and leave it running while you reassemble everything. Just thought there should be a better way.
Do they have an adapter for trickle charger? That would be cool. Many people have those. Why not install one with heavy enough wire that you can jump too.
