I dunno, but the S&S you have to down load the instructions, cause they don't come with them. Pissed me off. Don't know their audience. Sure don't want to read those on a phone
I'm a big fan of the screaming eagle version. Comes with new covers to make adjustments easy. S& S is always a good choice but they have two versions of their adjustables with requiring the lifter block ,rods and tubes all get installed at the same time. Not impossible but the quickies are much easier. Next I'd take fuelmotos version, I think s&s is making them now but not 100% on that but it's a nice pushrod but it does take a little extra effort to adjust them. That's all I got but there's others
Also a fan of the SE Tapered Quick Install pushrods. The price has gone up a bit, like everything else but it is a complete kit; pushrods, tubes/clips, and o-rings. As Beagle says, tubes are reconfigured to allow easy access for adjustment. Tapered for clearance at the cylinder head. PN 1790058; about $300 from a discount dealer.
I don't know if they're the "best", but I have experience with the S&S Quickee pushrods and they were easy to work with, well made, were a fairish price and ran great.
I will say that I used Woods adjustable push rods in an M8 build a few years ago and hated them. They got replaced by a set of S&S and it was much less fighting... Stock tubes make all adjustable rods aggravating. S&S or Fueling tubes give you a little more room to work with... money well spent IMHO. I have a set of Fuel Moto push rods going in my Twin Cam build shortly and they look like they are going to do nicely.
Who makes the best adjustable pushrods for a twin cam?
Thanks
Hey, I should have mentioned I am doing a 110" build right now and have a pair of S&S Quickee rods (no tubes, I'm reusing them) and a set of Feuling HP+ lifters, all have less than 2k miles. Cost me nearly $400, yours for $150 shipped.
S&S Quickies are tough to beat from an ease of install standpoint. While a few dollars more, you'll save a lot of time by not removing associated parts to get to the adjuster. Those are my go-to for all builds. Plus they are S&S so nuff said.....LoL
You should not judge the quality of a product based on a single sample of course, but the photo below shows what my S&S adjustables looked like after one season of riding.
I got a new set without any hassle so S&S and the dealer did right by me, but during the wait I got impatient and put back the stock rods, which happened to give 0.095" preload using Andrews 55 cams and S&S heads, which happens to be the recommended preload for Feuling lifters anyway, works like a charm, with less valve train noise than with the adjustables.
So if I change cams to some with different base circle I will get a set of "perfect fit" rods in the correct length. It's a quick job to remove the rocker arms and the ability to set very precise lifter preloads I think is placebo anyway
