Default Cruiser Tail Bag

Has anyone used the Saddlemen TS3200DE Tactical Deluxe Cruiser Tail Bag on a Dyna without any sort of rack?
I really don't want a sissy bar, and these seems like it would work. I just wonder how much it could rub on the fender?

Haven't used this type, however, I've been looking for luggage myself and when I see a bag like this, I pass it by. Why? Because it's going to rub on the fender and probably at least rub through the clear coat (maybe even the paint) and dull it.

That's my humble opinion, FWIW.

Been in India for a few months and have been looking for luggage for my 2013 XL883L. I’ve found someone who makes amazing looking tooled leather saddle bags and saddles. I have pics of his 40 styles. This person is willing to make custom. Made saddle bags for bikes.
What I’d like to know is what kind of hooking up one will need to fix saddle bags / panniers on the super low. Would love someone to guide me.
I’ll attach a few pics but in case I can’t please PM me if you are interested in having a look at his quality.

I’ve got this bag and use it for trips on my fxdls. I’ve also got leatherpro saddle bags but unless I’m going away longer than 5 days, I don’t need anything bigger than this just this bag.

It doubles as good back support. I have it sitting on top of the pillion seat and strapped to a quick detach sissybar (sorry that doesn’t answer your question about mounting without a sissybar)

Just to clarify things, are you talking about sitting this on the rear seat or directly on the fender?

Also, you say that you don't want a sissybar. You're going to have to secure that bag really well to the bike with nothing to keep it from sliding backwards.

Good luck. Hopefully someone with experience with that particular bag will chime in here.

Yes. I had that bag that you posted. It fit perfectly on my 2022 Fat Bob with a Mustang seat. That seat had a wider-than-stock pillion and the bag fit on it and didn't make contact with the fender as it was designed to do. It wasn't designed to sit on the rear fender itself...
You shouldn't need a sissy bar. As i remember, it came with an adjustable flat harness with loops that goes under your seat to connect the straps to. I also remember it came with alot of various types of web straps and a raincover.

If you’re talking about the side bits of the bag that go down over the rear fender, they don’t rub the paint at all.
