Got the tower gasket replaced and figured it was time to give the bike it's first 3 hole change in my ownership... All went super well until the oil filter - it was, overtightened by the previous hulk hogan to work on the bike. The convenient little hex drive on the end of the filter also seemed to be soft as butter. Went through every filter tool in my box, a belt, giant plumbers pliers, many expletives, hammered on sockets... and finally got to the one that saved the day, after many hours,

The smoked tower gasket

Primary looked clean and orderly. Did a clutch adjustment while accessibility was so good.

The bright spot besides the work being done and fingers crossed my leak being resolved was it was **** weather, so didn't miss a riding day.

Appreciate all the input from you guys,

First Saturday without rain since the beginning of March and I had been itching for a ride that wasn't to work on an errand. Left the Lowrider ST in the garage and me and the Dyna had a day.

MA>CT>MA>VT>NH>MA and I didn't touch a single highway,

Main stop was to the Springfield Armory Museum.

Had to make a quick stop for a picture on the was, bike is looking prettay, prettay, good.

Embarrassed to say this was my first visit to the museum. An amazing collection and so much history, highly recommend if you are a history / firearms / industry fan.

Left the museum and headed north into VT where my phone eventually died. Found a cable to charge it and get GPS back just in time to snap a pick of crossing 10K miles somewhere near the VT/NH boarder. Picked it up with around 6500 miles in Jan and I have a picture from March 6 where it has 6600, I love putting miles on this bike and I swear, with each one I get more and more confident in it. I have a goal for where it will be on 12/31 but just in case I don't come anywhere close, I'm not sharing it yet haha.

Dude it was great. The roads from western MA up into VT and crossing into NH are sooooo good. After using the bike principally as a commuter and although the back roads to work are pretty fun, I got to share them with many others so only get short spurts of fun, the roads yesterday really gave me long periods of just ripping, so fun,

Work - kids... maybe next year. I wasn't going to spend my get out of jail free day doing anything but throttle pinned to the extent I could afford it.

I was in all of the New England states about 8 or 9 years ago. My Missus and I took a week to just tour around and see the area. Unfortunately due to her health we were in the car.
The roads and scenery were awesome. I wouldve loved to have been on the bike, and Im sure she got tired of hearing me say it.

BTW- VT & NH were my favorites. Absolutely gorgeous!

Sorry it took me so long to respond AND that I'm not going to be much help - no rubbing on my setup.

Well... brought the ole dyna home a friend. For all the things I liked about my Lowrider ST, I just couldn't fall in love with it. I feel like my Dyna can do everything I wanted the ST to as far as long distance with a couple mods - fairing and bags and when it came to really shredding, I like the smaller bike better - even if it was a lot slower, didn't brake as good and was pretty, really soft.

So... I got a smaller bike that the ST really has nothing on from a performance perspective...not a dyna (ducks to dodge any oncoming projectiles for the OT) but it is a twin cam, a worked 145HP 124 twin cam to be exact and does have a 49MM front end and a legit factory T Sport fairing. So, like kinda close
