Hey guys,
Just curious what Inner Tubes those with spoke wheels are running for the FXD* model. It's new tire time for me, so I want to bundle it all at once.
My tire sizes:
FRONT - 100/90-19 57H
REAR - 160/70B17 73V
I think it's hard to find a quality tube, I've been considering sealing the spoke hole with silicone or something better. It's a 71.
for a newer bike I would look for factory take offs.
that's my 2 thoughts.
I added a BMW R9T to my two Harleys a few years back and at the time of the purchase, I did not know that bike came with tubed tires. I live/ride in south Texas, mostly on two land black tops like the Three Sisters that only see the ranch traffic. Having to repair or replace a tube in July on those narrow shoulders will ruin a weekend ride plus, there are not a lot of options for carrying tools, tubes and a way to get the wheel off the ground. So, I sealed the rims like off roaders do and solved that problem. It is a tedious and time consuming procedure but worth the effort. https://cyb.smugmug.com/Motorcycles/...less/i-BjwM3St

Harley dealers carry quality tubes made by Dunlop or Michelin, I've been using them for years on my Norton with zero problems.
