Relax your grip on the controls, the buzz goes away.

Awesome info.. Curious what the change is as they look identical, at least from what I see. Thats a solid cast part. Currently my sons Metric Bike is on the lift shimming valves and waiting on parts but s soon as thats off, the WG is going up for a thorough inspection of said items. I was leaning toward rubber either played out and its a metal on metal thing or rubber is very rigid from age and sitting, Low miles on Bike and it sat for a number of years up until last summer when it had a complete tip to tail inspection from a Harley Shop that cost north of 2k when done in labor/parts/tires. I do know the mounts passed but they usually do visually look fine unless trashed. I have the inspection sheet.

I suspect you will find part 4 in the upper figure touching part 2 in the lower figure. If so, I would replace both front and rear mounts. Don't bother trying to fix it; at best you'll buy yourself a couple of months. Failure of the front mount stresses the rear mount, so replace it as well. I went with the Predator front mount, but they don't pay me to tell you that.

(Part 3 is a 0.020" feeler gauge)

I've tried polyurethane bushings before an the vibrations in the bars were worse.. it's a lot harder than the OEM rubber..
As mentioned check your mounts..

Looks like the images I see between the different part numbers for the engine mount are possibly related to that threaded hole in the newer version, ground screw possibly? Not to sure. You can see hole in the image 14 posted by CoolBreeze3646, not there on any of the older part numbered ones I found online for sale.

I bought a bike that sat for 5 or 6 years from a lady a few years ago. When I looked the bike over, I checked the motor mounts and they looked fine, no cracks or sagging. I rode the bike a few days and started noticing a lot of vibration, so I got under it and looked again. This time the mounts had sagged/cracked and were completely shot.

I guess they looked ok while sitting still all those years, but once I started riding it and they got to moving around the dried rubber couldn't handle it and started showing its age.

This is exactly my theory, once its on the lift I will know, I have mounts and riser bushings in my cart as we speak just waiting. After ALOT of being an internet warrior and the issues with Alignment and Wobble, I have decided to get a pretty robust rear mount as I don't wanna be changing that as often maybe Kinetic Structures, or possibly another brand and then an OEM front mount. Shim possibly if it appears I have to. Assuming that the stiff rear mount won't put as much Vibes through as a stiff front would.

That is exactly what I did, Kinetics rear and stock front.. Handling definitely improved but did not notice a reduction or increase in vibes.

Good to hear, only difference is I am under the assumption my mounts are shot, will know more in a week or so as I inspect them some.
