What seems to be normal hand buzz on a Wide Glide? My Road King 05 has very little, I realize the taller stock bars on the Wide Glide amplify it some but it seems more significant than it should, is it just the different style mount? Its too cold and snowy here still to get out and really ride but I know its engine related as it changes with the revs. Things for me to look at immediately will be Engine mount, possible shim?, Handlebar bushings? Anything else I am missing
Hopefully not!!, No pain or other issues but the vibration was a bit more than I expected. It is a near 20 year old bike that spent alot of years not moving. Just trying to pin down possibilities before I say yep totally normal.
As above, those motor mounts may be old and loose or hardened up. Additionally, look at the engine alignment in the frame, HD service manual had the procedure.
Make sure the stabilizer link is not loose or hardware missing
The front engine motor mount (#14)may be hitting the frame and causing excess vibration. Looks like there was a change in this part: Ref:14

BRACKET FRONT ENGINE MOUNT This part replaces 47226-06.
