Wonder if you get the same code using the bike's built-in diagnostics.
I would check for intake leaks.

P0118 ET Sensor Voltage Open/High EFI

Check the connection to the Engine Temp Sensor. Measure the resistance of the sensor.

I'd check connections and make sure they are good, You may want to replace the sensor.. Volts high means that the ECU thinks it's running rich and will lean out long term AFR settings.. Not sure if you can do it but you can try resetting the long term closed loop and see it the bike runs better for a while..

Opps read it wrong..

High is telling the ECU that the engine is very cold, <-4F, however, "open" is saying it's out of the normal range, too.

If you take a close look at his reader he's had 12 start/stop cycles since the last DTC was set, and the codes are all historic. Help me understand why you wouldn't just clear them and see what develops? I suggested that, as well as replacing his 2 year old spark plugs. This is what I would do, am I off base here?

Pull the ET sensor connector off, clean and reinstall.

Swapped the plugs. I’ll take it for a ride tomorrow, pouring today. Here are some pics of the plugs. (I dropped the one showing no gap)

Replaced the plugs and took it for a ride and still the same issue. Did the diagnostics through the Speedo and got this along with pn 34327-06

Clear that, if it comes back, that may be your issue. Sorta hard to check.

One would think there would be idle issue also.
