It helped that I know the family that owns the shop and spoke to the owner.

It never hurts to know them. But it still took a huge leap of faith to take anybodys word, on a deal as important as that.
I agree, but this is one of those times that it paid off.

Here's a new Harley horn cover that may look goodwith that limited edition tin set you have on your Low. That paint scheme looks very nice. I've seen it once before and, you're right, it looks much better in person.

I've seen that horn cover online. I wonder if that red is the same as the bike.

Hi Jake,

SWEET BIKE! I thought the same thing about moving the plate since it's covering up that wicked skull. What about a side mount that doesn't affect your paint? I've seen bikes in the forums with them side mounted on the frame which wouldn't come close to harming your paint. I'm sure if you searched/asked, you'd find the perfect solution. Again, LOVE THE BIKE!

Nice bike! When you bought this bike, did they tell you that the bike was a limited edition or the HD paint set? The reason I ask is because there is no such thing as a limited edition Low Rider, but they do have limited edition paint sets that the dealers can add to the bike. If they represented the bike as a limited edition bike, thats not right.

I'm sure that's what he meant. I still like this paint set the most.

I saw a guy down at Bike Week with this set-up. Really nice in person. He rode it down from PA. Had all the bags and crap strapped on her. Not sure I would do the same for fear of screwing up the paint but it was nice to see a man actually ride his bike. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to do so after dropping almost 5G's on a paint set. Nice, regardless.

Hi watriff, thanks for the comment. As far as moving the plate, I'd still have to fill the holes on the fender and touch up the paint there. I'm not sure if I'm ready to go that route just yet. I'm going to live with it for a bit and we'll see what happens. It is a Harely and what's a Harely if you can't or aren't modifying..LOL.

You're correct, it's part of their limited edition paint set. It's number 22/75 and is noted on the tank in small white lettering. I suppose if they only made 75, it still is considered LE, in my mind anyway. LOL.
