@texas @diablo THANK YOU!!! Ignition D was the magical timing curve it was missing!! I was jetting, adjusting the carb settings again and again but couldn't get it quite right. Whatever D does with the curve was the missing piece to the puzzle! Low end is perfect now, midrange is perfect now, and top end is perfect now!! Idles like a beast now and the engine brake (grrrrrr noise, IDK how to make the sound over text) with cracking the throttle is awesome and snappy! It FINALLY sounds like my shovels with the straight pipes (well almost) but the performance is amazing!

Thank you both, I would have never gotten this figured out and tested the D curve without your help!!

Very much appreciated!!

Looks great. I love the external breater. Don't forget the loctite on a 3 bolts for the air cleaner backing plate.

Yup done and done, I got her running pretty good too! I need to jet it again, it's slightly off but I'm testing it to see what to jet it with.

I also did a comp eliminator this morning as my comp started to knock on shutdown right before I did the carb. I didn't want to risk it and just replaced it with solid sprocket I had sitting around for a long time. I was gonna do it last year but never got around to it. The comp was completely fallen apart..

I finally got my S&S carb tuned and dialed in. I had to go up to .310 intermediate jet (from. 295), .070 main jet was left alone. Once I did that and went through the tuning steps, it rocks now with D timing! It's a brand new bike 😁

Good grief, I finally did a long ride (lead a decent group yesterday) upper state NY and I'm FLOORED by the performance! After getting timing squared away with 'D', I still had a dull spot on low RPM (jets). After re-jetting it last week (upped the intermediate), I wasn't able to really test a long ride until yesterday, the test and ride is insane. I honestly cannot believe the difference, it's ***** to wall nasty good with power! Especially if I roll 2,000 RPM to WOT! Once my cams kick in, holy crap, I am holding on it feels like, for dear life! Obviously I am being dramatic but it's a huge change in performance from EFI! I've always ridden S&S carbs throughout all of my 16 Harley big twins (until this one, EFI) so I'm used to rolling the throttle (not slamming it wide open like you can with EFI) and it's crazy responsive with insane power! I told my wife (who doesn't understand anything I just did) that I have it perfect now and I don't want it any faster and the only way at this point, to go faster, would be to make the engine larger displacement so I'm good to go with my dyna! I'm not changing anything else, it's so nasty now than I'm thrilled! Not to mention, my straight pipes make the most insane reversion noise (that I can't explain) but it sounds like NASCAR cranking and I'm thrilled! I even got cool blue wires and red spacers to keep the wires away from the motor so it even looks near. I ended up mounting the coil to the original location and drilled the mount and coil to make it fit. I also used liquid electric tape to keep the wiring safe from the elements. That was my only complaint with the thunder heart coil, it didn't mount at first (you have to drill) and it has open wiring terminals but that's all fixed now!

Thanks everyone for the assistance, I'm THRILLED at the performance and outcome! And because I made a new harness (with a new CPS), everything EFI is still available if I ever sell it! I doubt I will and will probably remove the ECU and wiring at some point, but it's available if needed. I use/kept the ECU and VSS for blinkers and self cancel but everything else is removed and tucked away!
