Default Stator Plug Leak
Just got the 'ol stator leak Not bad I guess, bike is 15 years old. Gonna pick up some silicone and a syringe.

If that doesn't work, next time you have primary off replace 15 year old stator. Until then just clean with brake clean

DO NOT USE BRAKE CLEAN.
The rubber on the stator plug will melt.
Ask me how I know.

Brake Clean or Carb&Choke cleaner isn't good for the rubber on the stator plug. It'll make it soft, squishy, leak more and eventually affect the contacts.

I was thinking the primary. My buddy swears by this spray stuff in orange bottle at dollar store, you then was off.

Not disagreeing with you guys, you are right, but I been putting that **** on everything if it gets on belt,which I avoid, I wash off

If you're going to tell someone something that could result in them having another issue
you should tell them the whole thing, not leave important **** out.
Yes, brake clean will clean off the oil, BUT, using it will disintegrate the stator plug.

How often do you have to do it to wreck plug? Never worried about, just saying you are probably right.

Used the Permatex flowable silicone. Dry as a bone now
