Default my streetbob does not want to go backwards in neutral
this is second time it happened. It happened like 1 month ago. I tried to push it backward with engine on in neutral and it locked. I could move it forward thought with no problem.
So then i shifted in 2nd gear and pressed clutch and the lock seems to ease up?
What could cause this? Belt? Or brake caliper? Or ABS locking? It locks really hard so you can push it backward. It is not a soft lock.
I am clueless, please help

To clarify…can you back it in neutral if the engine is off? What about, the engine off, but the ignition on or off?

i did not try that. I noticed that when i took a ride before i came home and this happened my rear break abs pedal was really soft and it went down too far....and then i pushed it few times and it sprang back to previous hardness..
i also washed my bike few days ago so this was a fresh ride after few days

Seems to me it can only be a brake issue.

I'd start by taking the caliper off and looking it over.

You didn't put any miles on your bike after the wash?
