Every time this thread
updates, My mind goes to "They do Harleys?" 30 minutes or less? No more all day at the Mothership waiting to get all three holes serviced?
How do we pull into the service bay? Do we use the left track or the right? Is there enough room for my feet or do I have to do the tip-toe dance like I'm getting on the lift? Where is my Jiffy Stand supposed to go?
Got my new parts on Sat, spring, anchor assembly and pretzel clip because why not at this point. First off the OEM spring is one coil shorter than the Drag spring that I put on the bike many years ago, and second, well you guys know the anchor mount was a little effed. I also got rid of another stock bolt that I didn't know was there, for an ARP
I don't know why, but I got myself worked up about getting the spring back on. Saw a couple of videos where the guy says, "just grab it with some needle nose vice-grips and pull", and I though "um, right". Anyhow, got everything together, sat on the floor, flipped the stand to the full up position, grabbed the spring hook tight with needle nose vice-grips, pulled a little and slid it on. Who knew?
Here's the result, the second open close was with minimal pressure, the first and third are what I'd consider leg swing pressure. 20260308_181157.mp4
