so yesterday my girl and i went out on a good little cruise... put on 324 miles... not bad with her riding her own... I ride completely different when i am with her, just slower and more control... i am watching out for the both of us... well anyway... this idiot on a HDduece pulls up behind her and is just is riding her @$$ and reving and reving... so at the light... i ask him "what the hell are you doing" his reply was we ride like grandma's... "i told him you can always ride a fast bike slow but never a slow bike fast" he had another smart @$$ coment and proceeded to rev and rev at the light... Light when green... I slam down the hammer and just SMOKE HIM!!! it was pathetic! how do you talk trash on a slow bike! Let alone pick on a female rider... he made a right at the next turn in shame... Moral of the story:
Everyone rides the way the want to... does not mean that they are not able to go faster, just means it is controledresponsiblity...
here are a few pics of the ride!
I agree with the "idiot" part--not the typical behavior of a fellow Harley rider. But, that said, I ride a LowRiderand afriend has a Deuce. I never realized it was such a "slow" bike compared to the Dyna until your post. Then again, we've never raced each other--
In my part of the country, I would be afraid to pull up behind someone's female riding companion and "trash talk" them. These good old boys around here would simply remove the Magnum or Glock from their saddle bag and the trash talk would be over quickly. Our pistol permits my state (my county to be prescise) actually say "Pistol Totin License"--go figure.
She usually has it in her saddle bag... but i pulled those off to clean her spokes and never put them back on... I do not think the duece is that much slower... Isnt it a counter ballanced motor not rubber mounted... I could be wrong?... actually i think i am... the reason i mopped him was he was a crappy rider... he miss shifted into 2nd after over reving 1st... Most of my buddys ride sport bikes so i have got pretty good at launching and getting though my gears, hard part is keeping my @$$ on the seat! with a good launch i find myself on the fender and not being able to shift! ha ha ha sucks but fun never the less... 2 more months till i tear her down and do the 211 cams and 95 kit! i am stoked! She rides a 250 virago (her first bike) i made a ram air intake for it, and pulled out the baffels so it has a bit of a rumble to it (after all it is a v twin that is why she bought it) i also went down a tooth on the front gear so she has a bit more out of the little bike. this winter we are going to bore it out and see what we can get out of the motor... just a fun little project. she likes the size of the bike, i have dropped it 2.5 inches and she is only 5'2 100 lbs. she wants a bobber bad! so that is what it will turn into this winter... a mini me bike of the st bob!
I agree that if someone is a rush let 'em pass you. Wave 'em by. If they are in a rush, let em rush someone else. Easier said than done, but that is my opinion. By racing them you are only feeding into their BS...
My wife just started riding a few months ago. Got herself the rebel 250. Next week will be our first chance to ride togethor. We got two kids and no support system out here so its a real big deal. Its gotta be fun riding seperate bikes togethor instead of 2up. I cant wait.

C'mon, do they really?
I went out to the car and checked my current 2007 pistol license. They did indeed remove the term "Pistol Totin" from the license for this year. However, the little case/envelop they give you to carry the license in says this on the cover,"Envelop for Pistol Totin License". I know my last year's licence (we have to renew each year at a cost of $20) had that term on the license which is simply a printed form filledin and recorded by the sherrif's department. I guess they had the envelopes left over from previous years. I know what you are thinking--if you had to show the license in another state, would they even believe it? However, we have a beautiful state, great weather, LOTS of great Harley riders and good dealers. But, the flip side of the coin, many travel with weapons in their vehicles--either visable in the back window or in the glove compartment like me. My friend never rides his bike without carrying his gun but on a RK that's easy to do. Didn't mean to hi-jack the thread but wanted to respond to your question as I know it looked like I was simply b** s******. My original point is that I would really think twice if I were the guy on the Deuce and did what the individual in the lead post said he did--the outcome might not be the same.
