Is there any way to do the download myself? Stealership wants $150 for it. I heard all it takes is a cord and a laptop. There's gotta be more involved.

If you are talking about changing the map and if it's a PC III USB, after installing the program in the laptop and downloading the map from powercommander.com ( http://www.powercommander.com/powerc...b/default.aspx), the right one for your bike and setup, it takes a couple of minutes; start the bike, the PC III stablishes communication with the pc, you open the map you want to install and press "Send MAP", you get an Ok and you stop the engine before you asfixiate in your garage....

I think he's asking about the HD download (Street or Race) that dealers do for Stage 1 (A/C and Slipons) as an alternative to installing a SERT.

Haven't heard of any way to "do it yourself".
