I would be pissed off paying labor for new bars and turnsignal relocation in general... there are so many cool CHEAP and much cleaner ways of doing the signal relocations on the site here... Very clean bike you got 07fxdc... the new bars to look good! Removing the reflectors will do alot to clean up the front end and the @$$ off the bike as well. sharp bike
Jay, they bundled the labor with the bars and relocation together. They were/are running a special this month for half off labor to install accessories if done at the time of regular service so I had it all done with my 5K service. I was in by 9 and out by 1 and they would have been done sooner than that if my grips had fit the new bars. I had to pick out new ones to install instead. Just because I got half off the labor doesn't give them an excuse to do a half *** job, I agree. I'll be getting them to fix it when I can get back over there. I haven't confronted them with it yet - it may be no big deal. I think there are some older relocate kits that didn't have a place for the wires so maybe the guy installing them did the typically guy thing and didn't read the instructions and installed it like he had done before - who knows.
I'm ashamedto admit that the relocated kit costs $28.95 but since I wanted it done this week and they didn't have one in stock, I agreed to pay $20 for overnight shipping.

That's not only half ***, it's weak. Just goes to show if you want
something done right.......................
And the stealers wonder why they get a bad rap.
If you werenear me I'd come over and help you do it the right way.
As far as the down tube stickers go - they're gone. Peeled right off, in a few pieces, without needing any goo-gone or razor blades. Happy now Bulldog? lol
It's a 20 minute job to fix it if you've got the tools (including torque wrench,) manual and a jack (to save your back.) It's more fun to make the dealer crawl.

Better do my stickers too before I get yelled at!
Yeh, and your rear reflectors - lol. I don't know about you but I didn't remove the sticker that has the VIN number on it. Just didn't seem like a good idea - haha.
The turn signal relocation is not too difficult. Seems maybe the worst part is already done, pulling the wires through the harness after opening up the switch housings. Remember to disconnect the battery or pull the maxi-fuse. Also disconnect the fuel line from the tank. Pull up on the connect collar and pull the fuel line down from the tank. It is possible to break the disconnect if you don't. The wiring is not difficult to disconnect from the connectors, you can use a straight pin to do this.Somewhere on this site someone had posted the instructions for this job (may have been in electrical). You may want to refer to the Dyna manual also as all HD instructions send you there for all the information you will require. You can send me an e-mail and I can scan info in for you if you like.
I cant believe that whatI am looking at is a dealer install...[:@]
I did thismod a year or so ago.. and what the others say is correct you will have to pull the tank and go through the whole rigamarow that the dealer should have done.. all over again.. sheesh
byw i havent pulled my Minnie Pearls yet either... heh.. i am waiting till winter.. too much riding to do right now.. woo hoo !! [sm=biker.gif]
