If you're gonna go to the trouble to fix this yourself you might consider spending another fifty bucks for a set of Kury clamps and move those lights in a little closer to the tubes. Most people like the look a lot better.

Good Luck

Relocating the front signals was the first thing I did, but cheated and did them the "dealer" way till I did my tank lift. Then I rewired them the correct way (sort of).

I have a question though, I'm about to take on a new project, getting rid of the Harley relocation and fabbing my own up. When I got to the harness, I ended up cutting and splicing my wires, only because I am either half blind and or just couldn't figure out how to get the pins out after I unplugged them.

My question is, what's the trick, (getting the pins out of the harness) am I missing something stupid here? Wouldn't be the first time....believe me, LOL.

Anyway, I cut them close to the harness last time, gonna fab up a piece of hex stock with one end 3/8 - 16 and the other end 5/16 - 24. This will bring in the signals right up to the edge of the forks, no more wings sticking out, but figured I'd do the wiring right this time.

You can buy the new clips at the dealer for about .50 a peice and the new pins for about the same. cut the old clip off and install the newpins and clip. 10 min per side..

Now that's hard to believe, parts at the dealer for $.50? Not sure I've seen anything for under $10 at a dealer, except the free Soft Pretzels on Saturdays. <-- (it's a Philly thing, you wouldn't understand)

Anyway, thanks Trotter, didn't realize they were so cheap, thought there was a way to take them apart and put em' back together by the way people were talking.

Guess I'll be taking a ride to the dealer this afternoon for some clips and pins, then head back next week to pick em up (seems like nothing I need is ever in stock).

To get the pins out of the clip you need to use a very small pic and insert it into the clip from the opposite side that wire comes in. There is a small tab that you lift up. If you get it right the wire will pull out with minimal effort. It will take awhile to figure out the first one, but you will do the others in about 30 seconds.

Yeah, I was trying that at first, (pushing the pins through) it was one of those extreemly hot and humid mid summer afternoons, got a little frustrated, snips were close by, seemed like the easier choice at the time.

Since I already snipped them, (luckely right next to the clips), I might just go and get new clips and pins since they are so cheap and do the job right.

Thanks for your help as usual, everyone is great on this sight, hopefully I will be able to return that help in the future.
