Psycho - that's what I call a major conversion. I'm going to change out my throw-over bags for quick release. Are yours set up that way? Problem I've had so far is figuring out how to deal with the quick detach sissy bar set up. Got a reference from Chilhowee where I'm getting the chaps for the engine guard. Noticed that your bags are huge - what kind are they & where did you get them?

It's all quick detach. It will go from wide glide to tour glide in seconds.

The windshield and lowers are quick detach and come off together. They weren't designed that way, so I re-engineered them a bit.

The tour pack is mounted on quick detach side plates. I have a regular sissy bar as well that also has lights on it, and I've got a plug wired that just sticks out from under the edge of the rear seat so that I can change from sissy bar to tour pack in seconds.

The saddle bags are out of the harley catalog. They were supposed to fit all dyna models except fxdwg. I never figured out why they weren't supposed to fit. I just put them on there. That's all there is to it. They fit fine. Have no idea what the problem was supposed to be with putting them on the fxdwg. They are no longer available from HD, but there are some that are nearly identical that are. Also, they seem to have realized their own mistake, and included the fxdwg in the models that the bags are supposed to fit. These detach the same way as mine, and I really like the detach system, but make sure you're sitting down with a good hold on your wallet before you click the link and look at the price.

Thanks for the info. My wallet just ran away from home. It was headed for the door when I priced out the auxilary lighting kit & the kit you have to buy to go with it.
What did you use for the lowers?

The lowers are national cycle, as is the windshield.

I misunderstood when I purchased them, or was misled, or something, but at any rate, I thought they were supposed to be quick detach, but when I got them, the windshield was indeed quick detach, but the lowers hard mounted to the bike. I had to do a little modification but I managed to mount them to the windshield so that they come off together. Worked out to be a solid setup, and I was pleased with the end result. They leave some hardware behind, but as they come off together, at least there is only one set of hardware left on the forks, instead of a set for both the lowers, and another set for the windshield.

Thanks. That's a nice set up. Going to be some swapping out and selling of parts this winter. Don't really need 2 windshields.
Will post some pics when I get the Low Bagger a little further along.

Dumb question here - do I have to post my pictures to a website in order to show them?
