Non-H/D calipers
Anybody use aftermarket calipers? I bought a chrome rear for my wide glide but it's an aftermarket. It's identical to the one shown here in this auction:

Anyone have any experience or feelings, pro or con? Finish looks ok, but how is the performance, durability, and fit?

harley is not interested in handling, brakes included, i put 6 piston hawg halters on my sporty, much better, many smart harley guys that want more stop go aftermarket, its a harley downfall, weak suspension and brakes, they need to incorporate more buell technology on our bikes

True the HD brakes are not the best in the world but, the current oem bindersare probably the best that HD has ever used as oem brakes. If you already have the caliper then you might consider installing a set of Lyndall Gold pads or Z Pads. They are much better than the oem break pads. They will stop quicker, do not squeal, and produce no dust. Quite a few forum members have installed them, my self included, and the general consensus is that they are well worth the effort.
