I agree with everyone above. I coveted the FatBoy for years while I quietly saved for a HD. After riding several Softails and Dynas, I bought the Wide Glide and I won't be changing. Still I wonder how many Softy riders say they love their rides much better than their old "sporty-like" Dyna.
Sitting on those Softails was kinda like driving your shorter friend's car...the second I sat down on that Deluxe I immediately wanted to adjust the seat back & realized I couldn't. Then I wanted to decline the upper-back portion of the seat so I didn't feel like my face was over the headlight & realized I couldn't.
They're beautiful bikes...too bad.[sm=dontgetit.gif]
I was very shocked & very dissapointed...definately not for me & my ridin' style!
I was seriously going to stop sinking money into my FXDC with the intention of getting a Softail Deluxe next Spring, but after siting on it & realizing how good I've currently got it I've decided to do a few more things to my bike (street slammers, bullet headlamp, round aluminator mirrors, braided cables, chrome swing arm, chrome sprocket...ect).All not at once of course!
i like my Dyna Lowrider..i'm 6-1 205 and to me it handles real good, but on long hauls i would like to get a Road king....but i did take a long trip on my dyna set in the saddle for 14hrs 1 day and no monkey butt......lol....have the Sundowner Deep Bucket Seat on it...the only bad thing was the vibration on my feet....need better foot pegs for a 13 size foot.......lol

I hear that. For some reason I want a Street Glide. Well, not for some reason, I really like them. Still undecided, b/c I'm only 24 (not saying the baggers are for the grandparents) and want to be able to BLAST around and crap, but I think I am going to hold onto mine and do so more things to it....we will see.
