I know with all the Dyna and Street Bob owners on here that have moved to a side mount bracket, someone will know this answer. I for the life of me can not locate a plug to fill that top hole! I have been to the H-D dealer three times now and this last time was finally told that there is no plug because that is where the plate is supposed to be mounted - not on the side of the bike.
I read in another post somewhere that Ace Hardware was a good place to find the plug - been to both in my area and they do not seem to have a plug for this size.
Can someone please help me out here? If I have to buy it online, fine. If you have a spare and would sell it to me, great... I just don't want a hole in my fender. [:'(]
Now, the triangle mark on the fender from the rubber mount... that is another story.
Not sure about 2006+ models, but older Superglide have a rubber plug in a hole in the fender under the 2 up seat, and exposed when a solo seat is used.
Not sure about the diameter - but it might be a place to look.
They also have a plastic plug with the bar and shield on it. This plug fills in the 2 up seat hole if a solo seat is attached - not sure of that diameter either.
ya me too!!! havnt even tried to get plugs yet but now im kinda glad i didnt, stupid HD why is that one hole smaller, wouldnt it be easier on the production line to have only one bit to drill these holes??? i to would like to know of a good place to aquire these plugs, and yes that damn triangle wear mark!!!! i guess ive seen guys buy the bar and shield tank emblem that fits pretty good, i forgot about this i think i may go this route. that would also cover the marks!!!!

Yeah, I have those same plugs already. I tried swapping them around and still no go. I know I have seen photos of others on here with Street Bobs who have all three holes plugged... where are they?
