Default IT JUST QUIT
Motor just quit, like the kill switch was hit. Tried to restart, it tried turning over but with loud ticking comming from lower underneith motor. Checked pushrods still ok, is this possible bent valve or what?[&o] its a 1995 dyna evo with 23k
Its not the starter, and power from battery is good. The ticking is comming from inside the engine. It cranks over but wont start.

Have to say it...check your battery cables and battery...Just in case, easy and rules that out as apossibility.

Yep..sounds like a battery issue. Either discharged or cables/connections corroded.

I would agree... i know it sounds basic but have you checked the fuses... If it is clicking that could mean you are getting it power and not enough... kind of like a dead battery on a car

lower under the motor... check the started... see if that is where the ticking is coming from!

charge the battery with a low rate charge (1.25-2.0 amp hr). see if the bike starts then perform a charge system diagnostic test.it's possible your stator checked out and didn't let you know. how old is the battery? is it an electrolyte/acid battery and what is the water level?( use distilled water). but like already mentioned and easiest are the ignition fuses to check. good luck.

I always told my bike if it gave me any problems I'd trade it in for a Honda; damn thing has never missed a beat in 98,000 miles *lol*
