I've already had it done but I still have a question. If I can change pipes and don't really need to change the EFI, why then when you upgrade the Air Cleaner do you need to reprogram it? Like I said, stupid question consideringI've already had it done on mine.

Man, your 07 was mapped very lean to begin with.
When you upgraded the AC, you are adding MORE AIR.
Thanks, that's how it was explained to me at the dealership in Ga when I had it done, but I had a moment of clarity and this question came to mind... If you ride into Colorado and get up into the mountains, doesn't the computer automatically adjust for the new air intake to fuel ratio? If so, that HAS to be a more drastic change due to the altitude than just a new Air Cleaner, right?

This means MORE LEAN.
Lean is bad. EPA bad.
Too lean burns hole in pistons.
There are nostupid questions.
Knowledge is a good thing.
mud
Ditto, in the simplist terms, exactly.............. burnt pistons blue, blue pipes, ping ping ping, and other bad stuff.
No stupid questions when it comes to your life, and that of your ride.
BTW, you can tell a lot by just reading your plugs. There's lots of info on the Web on how to read plugs and the MOCO service manual has some photos of normal andabnormal plugs. You can also rub your finger inside the muffler and get someindication of how the bike is running. We can't sayit often enough: too lean = pinging (pre-ignition) = heat = engine damage = many $.

Yes/No, 2 really different areas of thought, there.
When you add a full flow air filter you are allowing, an almost unrestricted amount of air into the intake (as much as the throttle body will allow.
At high altitude, you are still bringing in the same amount of air, just thinner with less 02.
Narrow band sensors can't handle the excess 02.
The computer can make changes when it comes to elevation changes because it senses the change an atmospheric pressure. With an aircleaner change it gets more air but nothing tells it to change to a different fuel/timing map to compensate for it.
