I just purchased my first HD bike 04 1200R. It already had screamin eagles put on it by the previouse owner and jetted (so the dealer says). My question is since it has the factory air cleaner on it can I just upgrade to a high flow air cleaner and be fine or do I risk running lean ?

I have an 04 1200 custom that has the SE slip-ons and it has also been rejetted.I went with the free flow air cleaner but still run the factory "ham can" cover.It's been that way for two years without any troubles.If the rejet was done right with the carb adjusted properly you shouldn't have any problems.Hope this is helpful.

It's impossible to know for sure. If the dealer rejetted it on the rich side then you might be ok. Normally changing the pipes does not require a rejet. The rejet is typically done after changing the AC because the increased air flow through the AC upsets the air/fuel ratio.
