Well.....I do have one valve right now that doesn't work with my one gauge, have to use another gauge....so that could be it. Also, I have had a valve cap issue (who would have guessed?). The H-D caps have a little rubber ring inside and if you tighten them down that ring can wedge in the valve. Won't leak, but won't let you check the pressure or add air either.
And good job having the juevos to post a question about how to check your air pressure
tried a digital gauge and a pen gauge... both don't work... gonna check now to see if the o rings are wedged. I got rid of my black caps in favor of some chrome harleys. That could be the prob!
Harleyxlc... THAT WAS IT!!! It was the O Rings wedged inside the valve perfectly. (Something one couldnt do if they tried)
Cmon... I don't feel that stupid now... after all, who woulda thunk it?
Thanks for the help!
Sure glad you posted your question................ I have been checking the air in tires of all sorts forclose to50 years, and have never come across that one!!!!!!!! Could be a big problem trying to fill a tire on a trip at night in a not so bright location.
Who woulda thunk is right!
Just goes to show ya, just when you think you've seen/ done it all there's something new to learn every day.
Kuddos on(having the cajones to)ask the tire pressure question, though. I probably would of called the Stealer
Don't feel stupid topspin, we've all been there. Felt that way the first time (only time) I dropped a socket in my primary when doing a chain adjustment. Don't do that, by the way Unless you have long fingers like I do.
