Default LED replacement bulbs - anyone using some?

I was in my "library" last night thumbing through the J&P Big Book and came across a page that had a couple different brands of LED replacement bulbs. In other words, they replace stock light bulbs in the stock turn signals with LED's that have a connector on the back that fit right in the stock sockets. The come in several different colors including the amber that I'd need to replace the amber bulbs behind my smoked lenses. They mention that, because of the low draw, a load equalizer "may" be needed for turn signals but I'm nost sure what this is or how it installs. I'm also curious if/how they'll work on the front since the front lights function as running lights and turn signals and normally require a dual-filament traditional bulb (actually, it does look like they have single circuit and dual circuit bulbs so I guess that's the answer to that). I'd also like to know how they look in the stock bullets vs. buying complete LED replacements instead. I installed a LED tail light and would like to have LED signals to match, at least on the rear. Looks like I can get them for as little as 12 bucks each or as much as 27 bucks each depending on the brand and probably the number of individual LED's (i.e. 12 vs 20). One brand says it recommends clear lenses but I'm not sure why. I really like my smoked lenses but am not sure if they will show up okay behind those.

Anybody using these? Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

By the way, they are on page 360 of the latest "Big Book" if anyone is interested.

I tried the less expensive ones for the rear, 1157 replacements. They wouldn't fit into the socket. They'd go in, but not turn all the way. After talking with tech @ JP we tried a couple things, even sanding down the solder points(at his instruction) till they gave way. Still wouldn't turn. Tech said send 'em back full refund. They did. JP cycles has some good customer service, for sure. Anyways decided to bite the bullet, so to speak, and bought the Kuryakyn "Turn Signal Inserts". JP part #320-202

What's the deal with the inserts HK - tell me more. I have one of their catalogs I picked up at the MB rally. Are they more expensive and/or more difficult to install? I'm looking for something that doesn't require taking things apart or dealing with wiring if possible. Looks like there are 2 kinds in J&P - which ones did you get? The more expensive ones are called "Jam Straight" brand. Did you get those or the no-name cheaper ones?

It was the no-name cheaper ones. And I figured the 1157's didn't work, no sense in getting the other ones.

How long ago has it been? I may call and question the fitment before ordering. If not comfortable, I may go for the more expensive ones. I know J&P will stand behind either.

I bought one of the dual circuit bulbs from J&P for my brake/Tail light.
Twisted right in no problem. Much brighter.

What was the part number for that? I'd like to do the same on my 2k FXDWG.
Thanks,
Gravel
