If your upper shock bolts are the Torx type, go ahead and buy the replacement button-head bolts from the dealer. Chances are you'll strip one of the Torx when removing or reinstalling.
If your wiring is hitting the tire, then your tire is rubbing the fender and you have a bigger problems than wiring. But do check to make sure that the wire loom is tucked up in its hangars and tight all the way up to where it goes under the seat.
I rewired all my wired under the fender.... exp when i went to he 180... i run low to almost no pressure in my air shock (5lbs) hit my first bump and pulled everythinng out! tail light lines and all... so i redid the wires, wraped everything up in a protective sleve... glad i did too you can see rub marks on them, but looks good now and do not have worry... so ya Hubcap i know what you are saying
I just put some 412's 11 inch on and bought them used on ebay. They didn't have the metal sleeve for the rubber bushing had to get sleeve's from hardware store. Live and learn.

I purchased some shocks on e-bay and unfortunately the rubber bushing and metal sleeve are too big. ARGH!!! Is it possible to replace them with the correct size for a Streetbob? If so, where do I find the parts?
Did you guys do anything with the turn signal wiring?
I checked for clearance so thetire wouldn't rip the wiring out or the tire would not get rippped to shreds from the seatmounting screwsafter the first big bump.
It looks like there is plenty of clearance for the 412's. Any lower and I would start thinking of moving the wiring.
Beavisrules If they are progressive you can try and call the help line but they just told me to use the sleeves from my stock shocks. But I couldn't get them out without trashing the bushing. If the sleeve is not sloppy on the bolt it's probally the right sleeve. I soaped up the rubber and started the sleeve and them used a table vise and worked them together into the shock. It's sounds worst than it was to do.
