Does anyone here know if anyone makes any aftermarket exhaust for the Fat Bob yet? I was thinking of just taking out the baffles on the stock ones, but I didnt really want to mess with the stock exhaust just in case something happens.....
I almost bought a fat bob, but went with a 2007 screaming eagle Dyna. But my favorite thing on the fat bob was the exhaust. What I would do is look for some slip ons cause the tommy gun pipes look sweet.
I also have the FB and want to keep the Tommy Gun look, I have heard the Screamin Eagles don't sound much different then whats on the bike now. I talked with Reinhart and they will have slip on available for the FB soon..... they are making some modification to the brackets. My buddy has them on his Street Bob and they sound Sweeeeeeeet
A friend of mine just bought the fat bob and the pipes are the one thing he don't like. They do sound pretty weak. He found some Rush slip ons and has them on order right now. I do like the looks of the factory pipes on the Fat Bob, but I do wish they were a little louder.
I talked tomy dealer yesterday and they said that the SE slip-ons for the Fat bob will basically sound the same as stock (maybe deeper tone but that's it). I'm going to wait a few months and see what comes out third-party. The SE slip-ons maybe what I'm looking for but I'd like to hear/see others first.
yes, i did search and i found the screamin eagle slip ons on the hd site...but i figured that they wouldnt be loud enough for me....
i will keep checking for the rinehart exhaust...hopefully they will come out soon.... if anyone notices that some slip ons are on the market, please announce it on the forum...thanks...
Rinehart, Vance and Hines, Rush, and Cycle Shack all say they will have them with in the next 60 days be patient by spring time everything will be available. HD SE exhaust you are hard pressed to hear any differance they just look better
