No that was just my mock up and I got carried away and moved it outside for a picture. There is no top springs in the front shocks. So after installing them and I've got a3 deg cups coming there will be tons of clearance.
If the fat tire was a big deal in making FatBob a better handler, then I think HD would have put a fat tire on the front of the new Sporty Roadster. And all the race bikes would have big fat front tires. And my 1200GS would have a big front tire. I disagree with this theory. Nothing scientific, just an opinion.
I've ridden both. Both bikes handle great. Some will find that the mid-controls on the Street Bob give a greater sense of control round the twisties. Personally, I like to stretch out my legs a bit, which would make the Fat Bob more appealing.
