There's nothing from the Moco for the '06s yet. I've been thinking of adding a headlight modulator. They are supposed to be excellent for increasing visibility. Or I might try adding fog lamps to my crash bar.
the modulator might be something for you to consider.
I've thought about putting some on my bike as well a 2001 FXD. The guys I ride with have Electra Glides so I have them lead at night, which doesn't work so great when I'm solo. I'm not sure if they would work with the turn signals where they are currently mounted and would also have to trim the windshield.
The other thing I wanted to do to be seen from the back more was convert the turn signals to running/brake lights. I went to buy the kit from dealer and found out HD doesn't make one for 2001 and older. Does anyone know of any other kits which wouldn't require rewiring?
I have aux lights installed on my 05 fxd. I like the look and the added light it gives off. I will post a pic shortly, however we are in the middle of an ice storm.
Supero1 I have the rear running/brake light kit on my 01 FXDWG If I remember right the kit did say 02 and up but it works fine no problems at all. I think it looks good and anything that improves visability is ok with me.
I swapped all of the lights out for LEDs including the tail light, all smoke colored which fits this bike very well. Anyway, SUPER pleased with the results. I believe they are brighter and of course, there is a lot more to see in the rear when I hit my brakes. The controller can be set up to flash before glowing steady or not.
Everyone I've ridden with says the improvement is dramatic.
