I hope this isn't a stupid question but, what does convertable mean. I have been shopping around for an HD and have seen Low Rider convertable, softail convertable and wide glide convertable, what does that mean? Thanks
Not sure what it means really. I sort of consider my super glide a convertible because I can easily swap out the windshield, seats, and sissy bar and go from what amounts to a touring/distance setup to a cruising setup in minutes. Other than that, not sure what it could mean. It certainly doesn't mean they come with a top that goes up and down. hahaha

You didn't get the removable top?? Its amazing, love mine
There are enough after market quick detach accessories to turn HD sport bikes into more long distance rides.
Harley has marketed a number of convertibles over the years. I think the Dyna Convertiblewas introducedin 1999.
So, I was at least on track with what I thought it meant. Sounds like the convertable is/was just a marketing thing where they equipped the bike with stuff you can do yourself anyway.
