FXRT starter (right forum?)
Im not sure if im in the right forum but here i go. When i go to start my 91 FXRT it just makes a clicking noise and smokes so i think i need a new starter and i AM NOT goin to the stealership for a $345 starter so where would i be able to find one for a better price?

Some of the sites have parts breakdown and parts for starter rebuild, might save you more if you can diagnose the starrter.

well the bike has been sitting for about amonth so i decided to put the battery tender on and now when i try to start it, it tries to turn over slowly and it makes like a metal pinging noise every time it cranks. what could this be?
