Hi
I,m htinking of V&H BRs for my 03 WG. I leave for work at 06:00 and don,t need to create a bunch of upset neighbors. How loud will will these be compared with my SE IIs. Thanks
the Grump
The big radius are one of the loudest pipes out there. I have them on my 07 Fatboy. I also took the baffles out to make em even louder. That being said, I think just about any after market pipe that makes a louder than stock sound, will irritate the neighbors if your not carefull. I have the EFI ingnition, so I am able to coast down my street a little ways before I fire her up and take off, so I can get away from the neighbors, carbed bikes are a different animal, so you may not be able. Bottom line...be courteous, and don't rev the motor. That is a sure way to **** em off. JMHO

That being said... just get what you want and do your best to be neighborly. I am generally well thought of in my neighborhood and no one gives me grief for MY loud V&Hs.
I've got BR on my 07 WG. if you take it easy on the throttle they purr right along. They don't seem to be too loud. When you give the throttle a hard twist they will roar, I love mine. Great deep tone, sound great at idle and wide open. Also when you get them give em about 1000-1500 miles to break in mine have about 2000 on them and sound better each time I start the bike.
i've had long shots and currently have big radius on my 03 WG (baffles out on both). with the long shots i could ease it out of the neighborhood early morning but not with the big radius. big radius w/o baffles is just way too loud. there aint easin out of anything with those.
They are sweet sounding pipes - you'll really like them....during the summer months I leave the house around 7AM...I am sure that my neighbors all know when I come and go. I just try to take it easy when I am on my street. When cruising - they purr real nice.
