2007 FXDC Forward Controls
I'm looking at putting on forward controls this winter on my '07 FXDC. Lots of different manufacturers out there and DO NOT want to go with what the motor company is offering. Anyone have any recommendations as to which style/manufacturer offers the best value. I've seen them with and without master cylinders. Which is the best method to use?
Here are some pix of what I have on mine. Kuryakyn deluxe forward controls. Retail for $399 but there are people selling them new in the box on ebay for $299. Installed myself and you do not have to remove the primary at all. I had 2 issues. One of the supplied bolts for the shifter linkage was the wrong thread type - easily fixed with a trip to the hardware store. Other issue - stock shifter pinch bolt would not quite fit on the new supplied shaft. Bought a smaller bolt and attached it with a washer and nut instead - looks great still.

I wouldget one that keeps the original master cylinder just because it is out of sight (cleaner installation). When I was looking most of the manufactures had the master cylinder up front so I ended up getting the Harley Davidson controls. I found the below when I was looking. I had a Hurst shifter in my 1965 GTO, I was surprised to find out they make them for bikes.
