FXDLI Forward Controls

I recently bought an '06 FXDLi Dyna LowRider and want to move the controls from factory mid to the factory forward location. What kit is recommended and how hard is it to do?

Not difficult at all. Don't buy into the hype that you have to remove the inner primary cover. Lots of threads on it here.

I was told that the stock controls assemblies can be removed and just shifted frontward to the forward location and the only thing needed is the linkage for the shifter and a longer brake pedal rod to the rear master cylinder. Is this true or do I have to buy the "complete kit" like the catalog says?
