washing problems
I actually didn't do it, the dealer did. I had it in for the 1000 mi and they washed it and got it wet. Since they installed it when I bought the bike and they got water in it, they took care of it. I called Dynojet and they confirmed that if the dealer didn't use the grease (which they admitted to), that this would be an issue. It was mounted sort of towards the left side of the bike, between the rear jug and the downtube under the seat. Per Dynojet, the PCIII is completely sealed internally but the moisture issue is in the connectors to the bike, which are not waterproof. They said that rain should not be an issue. We'll see.
Hope this helps.

S1000 spray on hose off yard blow dryer works so easy when I am lazy. Then detail as needed. My 06 wide glide sure gets wet inside the rear brake light assembly. Anybody got a better fix? It is so easy to get that grime and road dirt into the housing. Why don't they just seal it up is beyond me. I have 18,000 miles on that pure love and I never had a wash problem. I suspect when I begin to take that 88 to new power mods. then the advise of you folks will be of serious application. $95.00 a hour makes you wonder. I am 57 and not afraid of wrenching and learning the new stuff. I got this complete package and the maintance is on the house for the rest of my life on this scoot. We got salt air so heavy here that warrenty has taken and replaced spokes forks ect. slowing the aging process very hard here in Daytona. So there is no fountain of youth just youth!
