I am about to add an additional set of pegs for long distance rids to my 07 FXDB. It has the standard mid controls but has the sundowner deep bucket 2 up touring seat.
The seat seems like it causes me to sit a little further forward than the stock seat, this is why I am not sure about which type of pegs to add.
The two options are engine guards with the pegs mounted to them or the highway cruise pegs that mount to the empty forward peg mounts on the frame and extend forward to where you mount thepegs, seems like those pegs would be further foward and more comfortable. Seems like to me that the pegs on the engine guard would not be far enough forward and would feel cramped with my seat configuration.
I put the Kuryakyn adjustable mustache bar on my '07 FXDC and couldn't be happier. It mounts to the the down tube, adjust for up/down and back/forward ( a must for my short azz legs: 30 inseam). They take any male footpeg and the set I bought came with pegs. Fully chromed and only cost $139.00 including shipping on Ebay. Brand new in the box. Hope this helps
i've got the adjustable hd pegs $104. alt the way forward was too much if a stretch (5"9 30 in. inseam) so i set them back to the shorter position and they work awesome. i brake and down shift with ease while on the highway pegs.
