I am itching to get a back pack off of my back while riding back and forth to work. This set up would be quick detatchable and used only for commuting and traveling once in a while.
I scetched a tour pak on a copy of a Street Bob, what do think.
Thanks, I have talked to him about a solo set up a few times. I like his set up but I want to keep it solo. I hear he is working on a solo set up I just am having trouble holding out. The back pack is a pain in the *** and even more a pain in the back.
Saw a guy on a fxd that had a box on it just like your drawing, didn't get to talk to him though, but the mounts look like they wereprofessional made, but then maybe the guy is a machinist?? it did look good, and I have a box, would work for me to..

What I am thinking of doing is, installinig a quick detatchable rackmade byHarley and then attatchinng the pak to it. That way when I am not off to work or traveling it can be in my shop and I still have the clean, stripped downsolo look.
Nice sketch! Are you going to buy the box? or make it? Seems like a great idea.
I have been looking at an after market tour pak on ebay. One similar to Jackyl's.Only problem I see is the paint, I'd have to paint it to match the black denim.
The more I look at your sketch the more I envision some HD 'glas saddle bags - then you'd have a bagger bobber!
This was my originalidea but when I would want it stripped down I would still have the bag brackets that would have to stay on the bike.So I kicked that idea out.
