Default Dealer Replacing Front Jug Done

New bike not even 500 miles. I had a chipped cooling fin on my front jug. How complicated is thisto do? What should I look for when I pick-up the bike Wednesday. They said they need it all day so I presume it is very complicated. Its warranty work no cost to me. I amjust mad at myself for not catching the chip during purchase.I would appreciate any feedback.

Thank-you

Glad you got the dealer to stand behind it! Hopefully they didn't hassle you too much.

Swapping out the front pot ain't all that complicated.

Keeping the machine all day is not unreasonable in my opinion,
even though it won't take that long.

Be glad they can get to it.

As far as what to look for when you pick it up -

myownself, I'd look for the tech that performed the operation.
I would express my appreciation, and look him in the eye.

Then if the sheet blows up I'll know who to look for
so I can try to kick his ****.

Let us know how it works out.

Hey Doug, if you noticed, I said -

try to kick his ***.

Years ago I would sometimes say
"I'm gonna kick your ***"

Nowadaze it's
"I'm might see if I can kick your ***"

I think the cylinder swap out will be fine.

You're gonna have to seat those rings though.

Thanks guys I knew about seating the rings. I am notthat violent but if things don't go well we know how it happened. The dealer has done all major repairs on my other bike which included changing out the jug on my sporty which was not under warranty and still didn't charge me. I just hope I get a seasoned tech. Will post results.

Front cylinder was replaced it runs great I really can't run it to hard still on break-in. It looks like about $1000.00 worth ofparts and labor all under warranty. While I was waiting picked up a rear signal kit to utilize the directional signals to act as running lights and brake lights for added safety.

Thanks for the imput.
