Default wrapped stock header pipe

Been thinking about wrapping my stock header pipe for a while now. I would keep the painted black SE2 slip ons. If I double wrap them will the pipes look as fat as they do with the stock heat shields? Also, with them double wrapped, will they get hotter then they are with heat shields. I tried a search, but couldn't find this out. Also, does anyone have pics of the stock pipes wrapped?

My pipes look almostexactly like JRK's, minor differences thats all. Mine are fadeing slightly as well. As for the heat, my are only single wrapped and while they do get hot, I don't believe mine to as hot as with the heat shields. Of course single wrapped with half the width overlapping.

heres mine, not sure on the double wrap but i had a hard time reusing the stock mount clamps. they barly fit around 1 layer of wrap so i think two would look good but you'd have to get other clamps to mount them. i also cut and drilled my stock heat shields to dress them up looks good i think.
